Happy Thanksgiving! While we’re sitting around waiting for Aunt Lisa to finish her famous mashed potatoes let’s do some Black Friday shopping!
As I am solidly in my thirties, I have come to the realization that I’m not the kind of person to stand in a line from midnight and bum rush Target to get 30% off an electric mixer. I tried it one year and it was fun, but I prefer to stay in my cozy house and sleep on Thanksgiving night. There are also the weird moral feelings I have about making retail people work all night on a holiday. The good news about all of this for you is that I’ve scoured the internets for the best Black Friday sales so you can pick up some stuff and look hella fly in the new year all from the comfort of your flannel jammies.
Target Black Friday Sale (Open Now to RedCard Holders)
Target’s deals are REALLY good, but there isn’t a ton of work friendly stuff available. However, if you’re looking for pajamas, boots or hoodies, you’re in luck. There are also some good basics. Crew neck t-shirts and the like. Here’s what I’m digging. (Affiliate links)
Banana Republic Black Friday Sale
Wednesday the 22nd through Sunday the 26th, BR is offering 50% off of regular priced items. No code needed, discount will apply at checkout. This is a great time to purchase the more spendy items that you normally wouldn’t buy. I really like this Silk Cashmere Crew cut sweater. There are a few colors still available, the neutrals are mostly sold out already. I’m also seriously loving these gold oxfords. You might think I’m nuts, but these would be so cool with a pair of ankle-length slacks (no show socks) and a sweater with a button down under it. Very Jenna Lyons. There is also a tote bag that has a battery inside it so you can CHARGE YOUR PHONE, PEOPLE. We really are living in the future. (Affiliate links)
J. Crew Black Friday Sale (Live Now)
J. Crew’s sale is similar with 40% off of everything with code THANKU. Little known fact: I am obsessed with finding things people wear on TV shows. Even Littler Known Fact: They made a TV version of the Limitless movie with Bradley Cooper. It wasn’t great but I binge watched it on Netflix all at once. Plus it had Jennifer Carpenter (from Dexter) in it and I have a soft spot for her. Say what you want about the show, but the girl was rocking some amazing outerwear the whole time. My favorite of all her jackets and blazers (there were a lot) was this coat from J.Crew. I don’t need another coat since it’s 70+ degrees here 10 months out of the year, but I think you should buy it. (Affiliate links)
Ann Taylor Black Friday Sale (Live Now)
The sale is 50% off everything with code: THANKFUL. This is my favorite sale of the day. Ann Taylor is really into ruffles right now and that’s right up my alley. A lot of the “summer” clothes are on clearance and you could wear them in the office with a sweater, blazer or tights, no problem. (Affiliate links)
