I thought I had a busy, stressful life. Turns out, I had no idea what I was dealing with until I had a baby. Then, I realized it only gets worse once you become a working mom. Joke’s on me.

I have been trying to balance breastfeeding, quality time with my tiny gorgeous little baby, business travel and my relationship with my husband all while trying to look reasonably presentable at my meetings.
Shopping as a Working Mom
I do not have time to shop. When I say I don’t have time, I mean I feel like I have negative amounts of time. Somehow the space-time continuum has reversed itself and I’m constantly walking up the down escalator.
I have tried online shopping. When you’re shopping online, you can’t try anything on and there is no one else to give you an opinion. Also, you can never tell how things are going to fit. It’s so frustrating. I usually end up closing my computer screen and binge watching Netflix.
I have tried subscription boxes. In my experience, the people who put together subscription boxes all seem to be approximately 22 years old and have no idea what the term “business casual” means. No, I can’t wear distressed jeans to the office, Molly.
I have also tried just picking things out in the store and bringing them home without trying them on (in the interest of saving time.) I’ll just tell you that this is a terrible idea. Do not recommend. I never have time to return the stuff. Don’t tell my husband.
That’s why this blog was born. I follow a lot of clothing/fashion blogs but I couldn’t seem to find a good one that had work-specific clothes. The idea here is to give working moms outfit ideas with an easy way to buy the stuff they want. There may be a few casual posts scattered around and some kid stuff too, but the main focus will be for working moms, like me, who just need someone to put an outfit together and tell them where to get it.
How it Works:
Under the “Shop The Look” tab, you can find all of the categories I mentioned above: Business Casual, Business Professional, Casual and Kids. Each post has links to all items and my thoughts about each piece.
To be clear, I’m a working mom! There are some links on the blog where if you buy the item, I get a small commission. Those links will say (affiliate) next to them. Just wanted to make sure we’re all on the same page here.
I hope that this little space helps you #WorkItAtWork
